I needed more light in my bedroom as I have vision problems. This has different types of light. dimming, and a sleep timer. All this is on a remote as well as the stand. It You can also shine it in different directions. This is so handy for finding that thing in a dark corner. It was also well packaged, easy to assemble. I chose the black and it is perfect. I was blessed to get it with a coupon and saved $49.99. The price is fair even at full price.

I appreciate how easy this lamp was to assemble. The base is heavy and there is no issue of tipping over. I do wish it had more flex on top as the non bending metal is very tall. I don't plan on using the remote since it's so easy to adjust with a touch on the lamp. You cannot replace the lightbulb, but it is supposed to last for thousands of hours and only uses 7 watts. I was hoping to place this lamp behind a dining table but the base is too wide, so I'm using it elsewhere. I do appreciate the choices of warm to bright white lighting and the dimming button. It's also handy to unscrew the head to change the size of illumination. I have another lamp from this company and appreciate the high tech, but how hard is it to touch a lamp pole? Remote not necessary. There is a 50% off coupon now.... Use it. That is a value!
