Ever since we bought our house years ago, I have been looking for a dining room light that has a similar style to our hallway light. To me, the style looks more like rustic industrial than farmhouse style. Either way, this light is very similar in style.The quality is good, there was no issue with any paint overspray, the wood grain effect looks realistic, and the metal components feel solid. One of the selling points for me was the ETL certification, which is on the center/mounting hardware. The mounting hardware, cable, and light sockets are of better quality than some other, non-certified lamps I have bought.The installation and mounting are straight forward, and the instructions are pretty good. Since the shade is made of metal, the light is focused downwards, with a slight hue going upwards. The lamp works well with our existing dimmer, and the style matches our hallway lamp. Exactly what I hoped for.
