This fountain is great. I recommend keeping the flow on low. Like other reviewers, I added a small gold bowl with rocks and amber-colored gems to reduce unwanted splashing and softly catch the bright LED light.I have it in my bedroom, which is still a work in progress, and it’s been a calming addition. It’s refreshing not to have to return something from Amazon and wait forever for the “advanced refund.”I’m very pleased with this chill, no-spill water fountain.

I absolutely love it! I only wish that it could be adjusted to turn the water level a tad more for a softer sound. However, I’d still purchase it again. The top light creates a flicker with the water that reminds me of a soft flickering flame. I love the ambiance and it’s just beautiful!

I looked at 50 fountains, This One had the best reviews, so here’s another good review. I have had many fountains. First one to use in house. Worth the money. Many compliments. I wanted to keep on Tile floor just in case, but no leaks yet after having it for several weeks. Was easy to put together. Always read and look at directions and pictures so you know what goes where, andgo slow with wires; don’t pull hard. Nice calm sound. If you start hearing a little louder vibration or buzzy noise, that means you need more water. Since I have it in the house, I could use distilled water so it will avoid hard water deposits. It doesn’t evaporate too fast in the house at all, so water won’t be expensive to buy in gals when needed if you decide to use distilled-would be better on the pump. The lighting is easy on the eyes, and very pleasant and relaxing. For the people that say they wish it had on and off switch for lights or fountain… I purchased a kit adapter with remote so I don’t have to pull the plug out of the wall all the time to turn it on or off. Color doesn’t look cheap. For beginners with this type of fountain, I suggest to use a long nose plant water can. I fill that up with distilled water and put it directly onto the water hole that runs into the bottom reservoir of the fountain. Locationis on a slant below (where water is flowing down in an angle ) the top part meaning avoid where water bubble and lights are-I can’t stress enough toavoid putting water from the top… Also, So you don’t have to continually open the backside of the fountain to put water in-that would be a hassle. Again, If you put water from the top where it bubbles and where the lights are, it will overflow and get all over the floor. I Use a long nose, small water spout -a metal indoor plant water can is ideal. I will point out in the video where to put the water, and point out the adapter I purchased in the wall. Good luck. I also purchased the warranty- that’s up to you to do, but I prefer to do that.

Easy to assemble. Even after I turned th pump flow to the lowest. the sound of the water returning into the main base- was loud & not a pleasant trickle. I added a few stones down the flow of the fountain when returning back into the basin. It slowed down the flow of the water & the sound got softer.

So it's a bit loud for indoors. Outdoors it would be fine. I suppose if you had a room where the sound of the water was purposeful. Like idk, a room dedicated to reading or meditation, then yeah, maybe "indoors" would be an option. But I'm two rooms over typing this review, and I can hear the water. I wouldn't recommend for indoors unless you want to hear it. It's not going to get knocked over easily, but when filled with water, it's moderately heavy. Doesn't seem to take up much space. It looks a bit "scratched up" which, for outdoors probably would be less of an issue than indoors. There's really nothing to assembly, you just put on the top piece, plug in two things, then plug it in. My main motivation for buying was to see if it helped offset how dry my house was, without needing bunches of distilled water for a humidifier. We'll see if that helps.
