Banker Desk lamp

I expected a nice little vintage style lamp. What I received is an absolutely beautiful, heavy, high-quality reproduction bankers lamp. I don't think the reviews do it justice. I chose the cream shade, and the thick glass...the little pull chain, the gorgeous metal...this lamp is stunning. I have it in my study, which is very 1930s. It's truly one of the best items even though it's surrounded with real antiques.

Overall, I love this lamp. The reason I knocked off a star is because the base is more reddish than it looked in the pictures. Otherwise, it's a nice heavy lamp, gives off good light without being too bright on a desk. Pull chain works great - doesn't feel like it will pull off at all. A bit shorter than I expected, but still works great for my desk.

The lamp gives just enough directed light to my desk so I don’t have to turn on the overhead lights.

Excellent quality craftsmanship and solid materials. Weighty and stable, comfortable for eyes when next to the laptop on a standard desk. Thickness of the shade makes for a soft ambience. Matches my dark cherry, Queen Anne style decor so I'm very pleased to have found it.

The Bankers Lamp was the perfect addition to our computer desk providing great lighting to use our PC without the overhead lighting causing a shadow on the computer. We don't even bother with the overhead light as the muted lighting is beautiful and sufficient.
