This lamp is a keeper! The appearance is delightful and chic and will be easy to install. I say “will be” because we recently downsized to a townhouse but cannot move in until late September. We have the perfect place for it in the high ceiling living room and are looking forward to replacing the current, boring fixture.The instructions are easy to follow, and I think it’s an easy project for beginners; those with experience will have no problem. It arrives with hardware for mounting, mounting plate, wire nuts and as a bonus gloves to keep you from soiling the fabric. Of course, shutting off the power is necessary whether experienced or not. That said, I know of people who very experienced yet don’t turn off the power. That’s nuts and hubris. Once turned off, make sure you test it before installing . . . a simple tester at the local hardware store is all you need.The lamp shade is made out of thick linen fabric, stretched firm, and sized large enough for a living room or large bedroom in my opinion. The color will blend very well with about any wall color and the texture, not harsh, also goes well. The linen fabric distributes/spreads the light creating a cozy, pleasing radiance and making us looking forward to actually hanging it from the high ceiling in our new digs.My sole complaint is the socket - it feels and looks cheap. It’s made of plastic, not ceramic or some other, stronger material. Makes me wonder how long it will last.Bottom line: Great buy overall!

The only reason it isn’t hanging in our room right now is because after I got it I realized I have no idea where to put the ceiling fan that’s already there. We can’t just get rid of it. I’m still keeping this anyway. Next house, this is going up immediately.Assembly was ridiculously easy. I didn’t even look at the instructions. You expand it, then use the wiring to keep it from folding in on itself. Once it’s together it feels pretty sturdy — I’m not about to hang from it, but I also don’t think it’s going to collapse if you look at it wrong.I haven’t plugged it in yet because I already know this kind of glow. The fabric diffuses the light, so it’s more of a soft, subtle light than a bright overhead. Beautiful in a bedroom or anywhere you don’t need a ton of light. In a dining room it would look amazing, but you’d probably want another light source too.The fabric doesn’t feel cheap or sandpaper-scratchy. It feels more like a nice linen than that fake crispy stuff a lot of paper lanterns use. The stitching and detail work look like it should last a long time.It’s simple enough to work with a bunch of styles — wabi-sabi, minimal, even a little brutalist if the rest of the room is clean. I’d definitely buy another one like this. Maybe even a bigger one depending on the room. I’m obsessed.

I really like the look of this pendant once it is put together. The 20 inch linen globe has a nice natural texture and the off white color makes it easy to work into different styles without overpowering the room. Instead of producing a harsh, exposed bulb look, it gives the room a much softer and warmer glow. I think it works particularly well over a dining table, in a bedroom, or anywhere you want more ambient lighting rather than bright task lighting.Assembly was straightforward and the kit includes the shade, cord, canopy, mounting hardware, and instructions. The internal support also does a good job holding the globe in its round shape once assembled. The E26 socket is a standard size, so finding compatible bulbs is easy.The long cord is another nice feature because it gives you plenty of flexibility for the hanging height, especially with higher ceilings. Once installed, it looks considerably more substantial and refined than I expected.There was one thing I would keep in mind. This is a fabric shade, so I would use an LED bulb rather than an incandescent bulb to minimize heat around the material.For $69.99, I think this is a really nice way to change the look and atmosphere of a room without installing an elaborate chandelier. The design is simple, but it adds a lot of character and warmth.

I ordered the hardwired, 20" globe in the 'Off-white and Black'. The globe arrived with all the necessary hardware and installation instructions. Installation of this lamp is simple, but have a professional install it if you have any doubts, and always remember to turn off the power supply first. The lamp comes with a 12-month warranty and support email contact, if needed. Upon the simple expansion of the globe, I realized the inner bracket is tensioned, meaning it may seem longer than it needs to be. This is so the bracket's rods have to flex under tension which will tightly hold the globe in its expanded state better (see pics). Once expanded, the globular shape looks very geometrically round and correct. The linen textured panels are precisely cut to size and attached with very consistent seams to achieve this. The linen has an earthy, natural style and simple, clean look with a slightly rough-textured, durable feel. The E26 bulb fixture is standard bulb size, and I prefer 2700K to 3000K temperature lighting, which will work and look beautiful in this lamp in an energy-efficient LED bulb, which I recommend for a lamp with a fabric shade like this since they don't run as hot as incandescent bulbs. The lamp looks great whether illuminated or not. I like the Wabi Sabi style, and this traditional styled Japanese lantern looks great to me. The soft off-white linen shade is very neutral and versatile in tone. It will blend well with other natural tones and materials like rattan, wood, slate, and stone. For this larger-sized, 20" diameter globe in this quality linen fabric and durably constructed, I think it is a very good value.

I really love the look of this linen pendant light. The linen shade gives it such a warm, cozy feel and adds a nice decorative touch without being over the top. The light itself gives off a beautiful warm glow. It’s definitely not super bright, so I wouldn’t use it somewhere that you need a lot of task lighting, but it was absolutely perfect for the area I put it in.I actually like that the light is softer because it creates more of a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The linen material looks really nice when the light is on and gives the whole fixture a more expensive look. Overall, I’m very happy with it and love the warmth and character it added to my space.

This is a beautiful linen pendant light kit that comes with a cord and a ceiling canopy at 20 inches off, and a round, off-white Japanese Sabi lantern. This chandelier would go well in the living room, dining room or bedroomWhat are the nice things about this flight? Is that a purée tenant of an apartment, or if you’re a college student, a graduate student, and you’re in a dormitory-type building, so that you can’t damage the walls, there’s no damage at all to the wall when you’re using this particular canopy part. If you have an available US standard junction box where you can hang the canopy of this fixture, it installs that canopy with no damage whatsoever, so let’s say you had a ceiling light and you wanted to replace the ceiling light with this hanging light. If you remove it without damaging the junction box, connect it to the junction box through its canopy, and when you leave, detach it and replace the ceiling light.This fixture has one E26 light socket. The E26 light socket is the most common and popular socket in the United States. It’s been around for more than 100 years. There are literally thousands of bulb variations for the socket manufacturer recommends nothing larger than 60 W. 60 W of LED power would be a substantial amount. If you were to get 60 W, I would recommend you get a gym switch.You probably already know this, but 9 W of LED power in terms of light is equivalent to a 100 W incandescent lightbulb. That means 60 W is almost 700 W, which is why you might consider getting a dimmer before that if you bought the bulb that is the main source of light.Installation is easy, but as with all electrical installations, I recommend turning off the power at the circuit breaker for the junction box you’re about to begin work on. They had to turn off the power correctly is the biggest mistake that most nonprofessional electricians make. That’s why I recommend that whenever I do electrical work, I always bring an electrical testing device.My device resembles a pen. I pushed the top of the pandemic lights up with a little red light, so I take the point of the pen and put it near, not touching, but just near a wire that’s energized. It will start flashing the light and tripping like a bird. If I put it near a 240 V dryer line, it will trip twice as loudly and twice as fast, and the lights on my little device will flash twice as fast. This is an excellent safety device to prevent electrical shock.The canopy comes with a install plate and a bracket. Once you determine that the wires are safe to use in the junction box, you should make certain that the wires from the house service side are of 14-gauge single-strand wire. I’ve had the last half centimeter of insulation removed from their ends. Make certain last half centimeter of insulation removed from the black white and probably bare couple of wire from the picture place the black wire from the house and the black wire in the fixture adjacent to one another put a wire lock nut over both of the wires and turn clockwise into a firm, mechanical and electrical connection has been established once you’ve done this with all the wires pass all the wires back through the center hole of the installed plate and or under or above the bracket, then connect the bracket and door and install plate tightly into the junction box if there was screws coming out of install bracket make sure they come facing toward the canopy. The canopies are connected either with screws with nuts, decorative nuts on the canopy, or there are wings on the installed plate or bracket to connect with screws directly to the canopy on the side of the canopy.Once you’ve done this, you complete the electrical installation of the light
