Don't listen to the negative reviews. Will they bend? Yes, if you put the poles to far apart. And yes they do require you to screw them together.The quality of the metal is decent. It stops up to me pushing them them in by standing on the fork. When that wasn't enough I used a rubber mallet and pounded them the test of the way in. The metal forks never deformed.

These have been perfect for our backyard. we had some that my husband had to make and paint and they were a hassle so if you don't have time, get these! We used rebar to make them sturdy, just a tip.

We ordered these poles for string lighting around a new patio. Flimsy. They are extremely light , made of thin metal construction of hollow tubes that you screw sections together. That alone is not beneficial for a strong light pole. We needed to cover an area for 100 feet of string lights using multiple poles. The ground stakes or anchors on each pole did not hold up well and after using a mallet to hammer them in the weld started to break off. Cheap. And this was just going into a grass, dirt area. Overall definitely not worth the money unless you are using extremely small lights etc. in a small area.

These lightweight lamp poles are very easy to assemble and install. They are sturdy, durable, easy to assemble, and provide excellent lighting in my backyard. They can firmly fix the light strings and remain stable even in the wind and rain. Worth buying.Super versatile and strong product.

I purchased these to hang lights around our patio area. I love that they come in multiple pieces so I can customize the height. Unfortunately, the fact that they come in pieces means that they aren’t quite as sturdy as one might need. They are great for the lights but I would be cautious of you wanted to use them for something that requires sturdier poles.
