These solar fence lights are BRIGHT!So bright, that my family members asked me to put them on a fence more towards the end of our property, lol!The solar fence lights charge well and mine have about 6-8 hours of light production. The motion sensor works quite well. The back of these solar lights are flat in case you want to use mounting tape in lieu of screwing them directly into a wall or fence. In fact, I'd recommend using mounting tape as a screw installation is difficult unless you make a template so you know exactly where to drill screws to secure the lights.For the brightness, these offer a great value for illuminating the backyard. The only thing that I can tell might be a detractor is that the light bubbles are a bit visible and that might be a deterrent for some who want a cleaner aesthetic.

This is an eight-pack solar fence light that is waterproof and has a motion sensor for Dusk-to-Dawn lighting. A couple of things about these since I have many. You get eight of these in a pack, which is great. The light is pretty bright, so it has greater coverage. I don't know if that means you may get less run time from this, but I can't stand and take a look at it. It has three modes. It comes on at 100%, and then it drops down to zero or 25%, so that's pretty nice because you can extend the life of the battery. It requires 4 to 6 hours of sunlight, even for the ones that are pretty shaded. It does pretty good, and I have it right next to some of the older ones that I have, and they aren't really that good as this one is. Typically, this can run for 20 hours in its mixed mode, so even if you have a cloudy day during the week a couple of times, this should be able to bridge that gap. Or early tonight's product, it's a little bit more expensive than some of the other ones that you find. It comes with all the hardware and the sticky pads that you can put on the wall. Try this out. The other ones that I had before were pretty cheap. They wouldn't last even a full year. This device has a warm white light vs the other one, which offers multiple colors. Personally, I like the warm white, so it does not bother me. Installation is a breeze and should take you no time. Try this out, and you always have Amazon's 30-day guarantee if you do not like it.

I used the screw mount points and my own hex screws to match the hardware my deck is built with. The mounts are really stable and aren't going anywhere, even if someone accidentally kicks them. Installation was quick once I had my tools and screws ready. The build quality feels good for the price. These have three modes and I'm using the one that stays on a low warm glow at dusk and kicks up to full brightness when it’s motion activated. This setting seems to conserve battery the best while still lighting the steps all evening. Most of the time the light is warm and cozy. When the motion trigger is activated they are brighter than expected for a small light and light up the steps without being blinding. I've only had them up for a couple of days so I can't speak to long-term durability yet but so far they charge reliably and stay lit through the evening, even in the cloudy Pacific Northwest. The warm white tone looks great against the wood deck and they're compact enough to blend in and look intentional. For an 8 pack with motion sensing this set is a good value.
