I love these, they have lasted years in the garage and are constantly used. Simple and light weight, they daisy chain up to 4 at a time. Functional, affordable, long lasting. The only downside will be when they eventually die but I have thousands of hours on them so far so they have paid for themselves easily.

5 year review. All of the on/off toggle switches will fail. Mine failed one after the other starting at the light plugged into the outlet. The switches all overheat and eventually melt the plastic switch itself, rendering it inoperable. Very annoying, and could be a deal breaker for most. I simply replaced the switches with wire connectors and solved the problem. I have the first light on a switch that controls all of the lights. Hope this helps

Whoa! What a great product! I purchased a pack of these to install in my appx. 600 sq. ft. garage. I installed these in three banks of three, with each bank connected to its own switch. The tenth fixture I hung onto for a spare. Haven't needed to use it yet though--probably never will!I was pleasantly surprised every step of the way. Each light had its own pair of hooks and chains to suspend from the ceiling. I didn't use these--I screwed mine directly into the joists, using the optional screw holes in the fixture; but it was nice that they were already included in the event that I did.True, they do feel a little cheap; but man--they are LIGHTWEIGHT and easy to manipulate, even when standing high on a ladder.The power cord to each fixture allowed me to gang these together. And talk about bright! The light goes in every direction, so you get the added benefit of indirect lighting--something you just won't get with typical downward or shielded fluorescent fixtures.Once you've purchased a set of these, you'll wonder why you didn't convert those old fluorescent fixtures sooner. Highly recommended. Would buy another set in a heartbeat.

To start with, when other reviews have said they look and feel cheap, those reviews are correct. However, as those reviews also point out, these lights work great. I put six in my two car garage and at midnight it looks like high noon in the garage. To make my installation easier I designed and 3D printed mounting brackets. For my installation, I mounted them directly to the truss beams. I spaced the brackets slightly closer together than the length of the lights so that I could hook one end then slide the other end on. I was able to do the entire garage installation by myself. I added a zip tie tunnel to the design of my mount so that you can secure the light to the mount easily. I'll be uploading the 3D files to Thingiverse in case anyone wants to do the same. The lights are not really 4' lights. The led portion is really 43" to be exact. I believe the overall length was 47 1/8". At the price point I don't think you can beat these lights. Oh, and yes I did drop one from 8' without any damage to the light. I'll be putting them in my shop next.

I was looking to replace a large chunk of the lights in my shop all at the same time. It was time to update from the 30 to 40 year old florescent lights that were buzzing, humming, flickering, and in some cases not even coming on anymore. I bought these and one other light style off of Amazon that were slightly more expensive. The more expensive lights were definitely built better than these, but these are brighter. They are very minimalist and I will be surprised if they don't end up sagging like a hammock after a couple of years. They are so light that it is a bit difficult to get them to hang evenly sometimes. There really just isn't much to them and I felt like I had to be fairly gentle with them when I was installing them. That being said, I will probably never touch them again until I am ready to remove them, and they are bright! They light up my work space better than the more expensive lights and way better than my old florescent lights.

First for me is these are "RF Quiet!" Many LED fixtures, including Name Brand, are NOT!! This is extremely important to me as I use AIRwave (broadcast) TV. I have actually had fixtures that, when turned on, put out so much RF that I lose EVERY AIRWAVE STATION. If you have WIFI, you also need to realize this RF Interference effects your THROUGHPUT as well. You can use a handheld radio on AM empty channel to trace RF signals. These are nothing at 5 ft and almost negligible at 1 foot which is VERY impressive from the NUMEROUS fixtures I have tested.Second, I bought 10 pack and for less then $15 each, that's a steal!Third, they initially feel flimsy because they are just so lightweight but actually they are nicely made and so lightweight, they mount anywhere, super easy.Forth, they put out a more EYE friendly 'blue' light (color temperature) compared to stock T12s. My T12 fixtures, using 40w tubes, were EQUAL light output (barring the Color Temp) at 8 foot. [Simple Test: can you see something 'better' on the floor than the other?] They are noticeably better than 32w [energy saver] tubes, which have become the standard bulb, with the 40w now being hard to get. Now there is one more factor relevant to the visible light output where a standard fixture uses a "reflector" to concentrate the Light downward, while these produce light in a 190(+) degree lighting area with the 'power' of the focused Standard Fixture ALL AROUND; So they must be producing MORE overall light than the Standard Reflector Florescent fixture. Another 'plus' is these come on almost full bright immediately, mostly regardless of temperature, while Florescent's need to 'heat up' to full bright and the colder they are, the longer that takes. Then there is Power consumption to consider as my 40w tubes are 80w per fixture and I have 8 fixtures (3 with 4 lamps) totaling 880w in my Garage alone!Last, as an incidental BONUS, I store a lot of "stuff" in my rafters in the Garage and the 190(+) degree light pattern allows me to see what's up there MUCH more easily!!!*Glad I bought TEN at this point!!!!!!UPDATE: Bought my SECOND SET of TEN!!! Every fixture has worked without any issues. I have them in my crawl space (which is big with H2O heater, water filter, etc) my ATTIC, shedS and Several in my Garage as well as given a few away to friends & family!Mounting: Beside the obvious methods, I mounted 7 on rafters using a simple trick (using the 'slots') andsliding in place and LOCKED in by using another screw at the fixture's end edge so it can't move in the slots and fall. NOW GET THIS: These are so lightweight that I used a bungee cord and "strapped" on the underside of my hood to change out a timing belt. Not only was there plenty of general light, but it was exactly where I needed! I then laid one under the car and moved it around like a 'shop light' as needed to FIND all the crazy bolt locations! I have done Timing belts on over a half dozen differing models and this was the WORST. Although I still had to use a focused beam in the ALL nooks-n-crannies, these lights proved invaluable!!!
