Dimmable. Bright enough. Good replacement for my BR40.But does not last long. Out of 10, so far 5 are good and 5 died within six months. Some lasted one year.But then again I have not found a bulb from any company that lasts as much as they claim. GE, Philips what else?Update:Actually it was another name brand BR40 that stopped working. SunCo is mostly doing good. 4.5 stars so far.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE LIGHTBULBS! Very bright, cost-efficient, dimmable, high quality— much better than the 10 year old ones I replaced in my kitchen ceilingthat had yellowed, and when I removed the old ones discovered that after being on for just 2 to 3 minutes were too hot to touch— a fire hazard. These new bulbs burn bright and very cool to touch, so no more fire hazard in my attic!

Im pleased with these lights. I recently replaced my "warm" light bulbs with these cool ones. It made a huge difference in the brightness of my home and these look more like natural sunlight. They all work and no flickering like other reviewers said. I will likely order more to replace my other flood lights in the hallways.

Exactly what I was looking for at the right price

Brighter and larger bulb than the previous BR30's. Better fit in the ceiling recesses and can now see where my fingers and the knife is. Much easier to see what I'm chopping and dicing and the fingers are much safer now.

Bought 20 of these to replace every recessed fixture in the 14 foot ceilings in my house. Every one of them worked perfectly, is very bright, and really fits the recessed fixtures better than BR 30 type flood lights. Beautiful white light. Couldn't be more happier with my purchase and the fact that I got him the next day is icing on the cake. If you need them, buy them ....!Also people complaining about color difference..buy a bulb, stick with that brand, and buy some extras. What ever I go with, I buy another half dozen or so and I'm good for years on replacements...One other point to make that may remove a star, is that when these bulbs turn on they tend to flex or pop the plastic bezel lens when it happens, within about 10 seconds of turning them on, they pop once and then that’s it for the duration that they are on. But they do it every time. Really kind of unexplainable since they don’t generate a lot of heat. Great bulbs and great uniform color, this is the only oddity that we’ve experienced with them.
