We’ve had many different solar lights, as I’m sure many here have had as well. This one is quite impressive… the solar panel alone is huge, and built to last. In hand the feel is solid with a durable glass coating. The 20,000mAh battery allows for quick charging stated at 5 hours. This gives you 15 hours of solar lighting which is plenty for our needs, given we require about 10-12 hours (depending on time of year) of additional lighting.The flood light itself is set to bright by default. It mounts in a way that allows one to change the position from the included bracket. Tilt it up, tilt it down.Now — and this is important, DO NOT MISPLACE THE REMOTE. Without the remote, there is noway to change within the various lighting modes.Change between Cool, Neutral, and White Lighting. From there you may operate between 50, 75, or100 percent with each one allowing to further dim. If you require only a few hours of lighting, this covers that as well. Jump between 1, 3, or 5 hours with +1hour increments.Want to keep things more simple, just turn the remote to the On position, and operate from dusk to dawn.The kit arrives with everything necessary for installation. There are two brackets, one for the solar panel, the other for the flood light. The various hardware needed, remote with included 2 AAA Batteries. The 16+ foot cable is worth a mention, once solar panel is mounted this gives you 16ft additional for the lighting mount.I admit I was a little intimidated at first. Now that I’ve had time to play around with the unit, I am not. For our needs I will likely set it, and forget it. My entire backyard will benefit from additional lighting. With the cost of raising electric bills, I’ve slowly been adding solar lighting. I’m happy with this choice. I do need to decide where to mount it, as that is a job in itself, and once mounted I don’t want to change my mind.The options are nice, I found the ‘Neutral White’ to be the most pleasant for my eyes. As for using the timer or dimmer, I think either will come in handy on evenings were outback or have friends over.I’ve added a few photos for you including a short video taking you through the dimmer and various light settings. These were done late evening, around 7pm est.

It might help to know how the dusk/dawn function actually works, and what it means for installation...There is _no_ optical or other sensor on the light itself, so there's no need to wonder if placing it somewhere that's completely dark will keep it turned on constantly - it won't. There's also nothing that keeps track of the time of day, so there's no 'clock' functions that need to be set or 'synced up' to worry about either.Lighting is automatically controlled by a circuit of some type, that apparently monitors the amount of output voltage coming from the solar panel. If there's not enough sunlight on it to activate its charging functions... it sends some type of signal to the light to turn itself on. Once more sunlight hits the panel to recharge the batteries - it turns the light off, and the cycle repeats. If the lone green LED indicator flashes, it means it's charging, and when it stops flashing to stay lit in solud green, the battery is charged.This all means that you really need to make sure you get maximum sunlight exposure on the panel during daylight hours. If there's not enough to keep charging the batteries, the light will turn on and drain the power that it should be saving. The more light you get, the better the light works overall.As for the system itself, it is well built, and probably overbuilt in terms of battery size and capacity, and more than enough panel wattage for charging. They might be overstating the total lumens output a bit, but not enough to suggest it won't give sufficient light to a reasonable area. In my case, it's a 30x8 foot balcony, and it's more than sufficient.If you find you need some extra cable to extend the 16.4 feet the kit comes with, you can find 5.5x2.1mm DC weatherproof extensions here on Amazon that have matching connector threads to fit with the included cable.

The absolute unit of solar panel LED light for outside at night. Solar panel is huge I like pretty big itself. It comes with everything you need to set up both of them really minus the tools to put holes and stuff and whatnot. It is a beast of a solar panel compared to your typical ones that are built in. And the lights pretty large itself too. That's pretty bright cuz of a good amount of light. The giant solar panel is nice cuz it charges are relatively quickly so I kind of stormy days he still gets a lot of power going to it if you get a couple hours of Sun here and there I'll get it charged up quick which is nice. You're definitely paying for all this largeness. For 70 bucks I don't know there's cheaper ones that are pretty good this might be useful like in a commercial sort of way somewhere you need more light and a large lot if you got some acreage and a barn or something workshop that sort of thing to be able to mount this huge solar panel and light as well. Something to think about as well as where you're going to mount this cuz it does have a whole bracket and all this other stuff so does that a little bit of complication to the whole scenario. I don't know I'm kind of torn here as the product was it is great and it seems like a bit of Overkill it's really necessary and normal sort of home use. I still haven't quite figured out where I'm going to set this thing up yet as I said it's pretty massive and we get a lot of storms and high wind here I don't really want it to catch a win and rip a hole into something that's it flies off and shatters so that's my dilemma here somewhere with the more milder weather I would recommend this or figure out a better way to kind of Mount it to something. I don't lose your remote for multiple way to turn it on and off and set the brightness and light colors and all that stuff. So I guess once you get it set you don't really need to worry about the remote but if you ever want to change anything you're going to be out of luck and for some reason and it's not turning on there's no on-off switch anywhere but the remote. This also is on dusk till Dawn it doesn't have motion sensors or anything which for the price and you think there'd be motion sensors on this so again more of a commercial application is how I'm seeing this is just being on all night I'm just constant brightness like a parking lot or something maybe. But it'll work.

Works great416 hours of sun and the light is on all night.I like and needed to be able to mount the solar cell in a different place than the light so the cell go max sunlight over the day. Very please with this product might see/report how this product operates in 12 months.
