Mounting an oversized exterior lantern often means wrestling with flimsy stamped sheet metal and loose glass panels that rattle in high winds. This 22.5-inch MIDLMJCOI outdoor lantern surpasses the standard builder-grade fixtures. The aluminum frame is rigid, and the matte black powder coat is clean. Zero frame twist when torqued down against the mounting surface.Lifespan: Due to the materials and build of this fixture, in my opinion, after handling many lights over decades, I expect this one to last many, many years in most environments.Electrical & Sockets: 3-socket candlestick cluster with rigid upright stems and clean collar cups. Compatible with standard incandescent or energy-efficient decorative LED candelabra filament bulbs (verify manufacturer specs for maximum allowable wattage).Mounting Backplate: Universal mounting crossbar with standard junction box spacing. Rear plate provides ample cavity depth to tuck wire nuts and ground leads without pinching.Glass Integration: Four precision-cut clear glass panels seated into secure retention channels without messy black silicone caulking, eliminating vibration chatter in exposed breezeways.Open Base: Open-bottom floor design allows rapid heat dissipation. I could reach up and replace bulbs; however, it takes a little mindfulness. For some with XXL hands, reaching up and in to replace bulbs may be a challenge; not sure. In that case, there are 4 small screws to lower the top assembly; a magnetic-tip screwdriver and something to catch screws is a good idea since there aren't a lot of threads. Removing the assembly was quick. However, an extra set of hands or the correct height step ladder will be needed if you go this route to set the glass assembly on to replace bulbs, if you have problems reaching in.
