I love the cost-effectiveness and practicality of solar lights because you don’t have to worry about buying new batteries all the time or running out of charge in the middle of the wilderness where you can’t access electricity. This solar light is very portable but quite small, so it’s probably best for camping trips or including in your car’s emergency kit. Even though it’s not that large, it’s still quite bright, as the 800lm is equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent lightbulb. I like having three different modes. The first two use motion detection, with the light either turning off after 15 seconds or going down to 50%. The third mode doesn’t use any motion detection, but has a constant 50% light at night. I also like that you can clip it to something, which I do, or use a hook (or tree branch if you’re camping) through the hole. Although I’m not entirely sure what an expansion bolt is or why I would want one, I expect people who know about expansion bolts would appreciate this addition. The sensing distance is pretty good (9.8 to 16.4 feet) and the IP65 rating means that it has very good water-resistance but can’t be submerged, so it shouldn’t be put on the ground if it’s raining. At the current price of $10.88, it’s a reasonable value if you are looking for a mini solar-powered camping light.

The COB LEDs are bright and evenly distributed.Using the light is very simple since it runs fully on solar power. The clip makes mounting easy on fences, gutters, or tents without tools. Motion detection activates reliably after dark.Functionally, it provides strong illumination when motion is detected and doubles as a portable lantern. Charging efficiency is good, even on shorter daylight hours. The waterproof design holds up in rain.I use this for camping and temporary outdoor lighting near a garage. For portability and brightness without wiring, it’s great value.

So, I should first say that when I initially held the motion light, I could tell that it seems to be made to last outdoors. And last night when I set it up outside, we had bad weather and it held up well with no issues at all.I mainly ordered this sensor light because even though my house has a front door light, the walk from my car in the driveway to the front door area is still pretty dark. It’s a small area and it’s close to my neighbor’s house, so I never got a traditional motion sensor light for that area because they usually let off way too much light and it would not be fair to my neighbor.So, this motion sensor light solved my problem. It is definately very bright and lights up the entire area from my driveway to my front door area but the light does not reach my neighbor's house. So it is not that excessive light that you get from most outdoor sensor lights that will light up your neighbor's house and yard.It was really easy to set up as well. I just clipped it to a branch near the path where I walk in, and now the area lights up as soon as I step out of the car. There are 3 different light settings and it is really easy to switch between them. When you first turn it on, it defaults to the first setting which will light up after sensing a human and turn off after 20 seconds after no longer sensing movement. The second setting is the same as the first but a medium light and the 3rd setting is that it stays on all night and turns off automatically during the day. I used the first setting, and it perfectly turns on as soon as I pull up with my car and it turns off after 20 seconds of no longer sensing any motion. (So pretty much after I go inside my house).This sensor light is going to make a big difference in the winter when there is ice or snow on the ground. And it is such a great value. I never have to replace any bulbs or batteries. And after a day and night of testing it out, the solar power seems to be working great as well.Overall, this is a great product at such a great price, and I highly recommend it.
