I like the control panel on the lamp pole so I don’t always need the remote. I like the warm light Mode. I wish it had a longer electrical cord.

This light works great. I love the way I can make it bright in the morning for my circadian rhythm and dim at night to get me ready for bed. Only con is the remote just doesn't work. Thankfully I can do all I need on the light itself.

I PURCHASED THIS LIGHT THERAPY LED UV-FREE SUNLIGHT LAMP BECAUSE WE ALL NEED A LITTLE MORE SUNSHINE. IF IT RAINS OR YOU JUST ARE NOT ABLE TO GET OUTSIDE - THIS WORKS. IT ALSO WORKS AS A FLOOR LIGHT FOR READING. ITS SIMPLE WHITE DESIGN BLENDS IN NICELY WITH ANY DECOR. IT TAKES UP LITTLE SPACE. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF LIGHT SETTINGS DEPENDING ON THE DESIRED LIGHT. YOU MIGHT LIKE WHITE OR THE YELLOW SETTING. RECOMMENDED

The only reason I gave the product 4 out of 5 stars is that Amazon pulled a fast one. I bought two of the lamps for ninety-nine bucks each (thinking it was a great deal as it listed for seventy bucks higher) on Prime Deals Day. They were delivered quickly. Impressed with the quality, four days later I decided to buy one more lamp, only to discover that they were marked down an additional 15 bucks each! To Amazon's credit they made the adjustment. Caveat Emptor!Now let's talk about the product. Easy assembly...took less than 5 minutes. You must pair the remote to the lamp, which was easy. The multi function remote takes a little getting used to, but works well. Adjusting the color temp and brightness was easy. Several pre-sets on the remote are OK, but maybe not practical. They did include the AAA batteries for the remote which I thought was a nice touch. The lamps have heavily weighted bases and seem to be very sturdy. The gooseneck was easy to adjust to the angle I needed. I was very impressed with how bright the lamp is, which is why I wanted to order a third for a task light. The other two I ordered have a specific purposed will remain stationary. The design is modern and sleek. It comes in black or white so will blend with most decor. The power cord is attached half-way up the pole which may or may not be good for your purpose. It doesnt really matter to me, but the cord is a bit shorter than I would have liked. I cannot comment on the longevity of the lamps which is a bit concerning as they are not exactly cheap. The light source (bulbs? LEDs?) is not replaceable so if it fails, you will have to replace the entire lamp. That is really the only down-side to what appears to be a good product. My only suggestion is that perhaps an added magnet for the remote would be nice, so you could attach it to the light pole when not in use. Also, they did pair differently! Even thought I have two remotes for two lamps, each lamp needs its own dedicated remote. I had to mark which remote paired with which lamp with a color dot sticker. Not a big deal. I did not try to pair them together with one remote...that might work. I am very pleased with the lamps.

I returned the first one not understanding the extra plastic part you need to remove and throw away to assemble. I finally found the instructions and it was easy to assemble and figure out how to get the light the way you want. You barely touch the pole to get it to react. Very EASY to turn on and off. I had a dark corner behind me nothing seems to cover. Now I can read books, draw and do other things with plenty of light! I have two other Ott lights, much older than this and they do not give off as much light. This is all a good height for the chair I sit in and have it to the side and behind my chair. Very happy with this light and how it is designed to help your eyes unlike standard lighting, which is often detrimental.Decades ago tests were done in several schools where half the lights were left being fluorescent and half replaced with the non flickering, full spectrum Ott lights. The children in those rooms were sick much less often and their learning skills improved. However, the schools naturally did not want to have to buy the more expensive lights.Mr. Ott discovered this on an assignment for Disney if I remember correctly. He had to do some slow motion photography of flowers growing and the standard lights were killing some of the flowers. He finally came up with his Ott light that helped them grow naturally, so he could photograph them in his studio growing. .... and in the end, they were more beneficial for humans too. Although that was not his intention in creating them at first. I find my eyes tire much less than when I read under standard lights! I recommend them to friends who use them for crafts, reading, cooking and things requiring adequate, healthy light.
