I’m always looking for ways to store more items in less space, and this 14-inch inflatable ring light caught my attention. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived, well-packaged in an organized carrying case. The light itself took only about five seconds to inflate because it has little volume, making it quite easy.I appreciated the included remote control, as most similar products typically require downloading yet another app on your phone. This one was completely self-contained, which I liked a lot. However, the manual was written in extremely small text, making it unreadable without a magnifying glass. Thankfully, I was able to find the instructions online.I use the light with my Sony RX100 Mark 7. It's not an incredibly lightweight camera, but the tripod supported it well. The only difficulty I encountered was fitting the cold shoe from the camera into the light itself; it was a bit snug, but after some effort, it fit properly.The controls are straightforward, with many more options than I’ll likely use. I mainly needed brightness intensity and color temperature, but the light offers a wide variety of other settings. One important note is that you need to purchase a companion battery pack unless you want to be tethered to AC power. When I travel light, I prefer to avoid as many cords as possible, so an additional $55 for the battery is necessary to make this truly portable. I wish they included the battery and charger in the package, but I understand that doing so would likely raise the overall price.In summary, this is a solid, easy-to-use, bright, and portable lamp that can be stored in a small footprint. Just be aware that you may need to spend extra on the battery to get the most out of this.

This NEEWER 14" inflatable ring light with tripod stand is definitely going to come in handy! It’s perfect for doing makeup, taking selfies, creating content, or doing photo shoots.It includes a phone holder and a mini Bluetooth remote that pairs with your phone, making it easy to take photos from a distance. The ring light is adjustable and much brighter in person than I expected. It also has different color temperatures and scene effects, giving you plenty of lighting options.A mini pump is included to inflate the ring light, and it only took a few minutes to fully inflate. I also really like that everything can be stored in the included storage bag when not in use.My only complaint is that it doesn’t really come with an instruction manual, so figuring out all of the features takes a little trial and error. Other than that, this is a really cool and versatile ring light that’s easy to set up, use, and store.

This isn't my first large ring light from NEEWER, and it certainly isn't my first light from them, but this may be the strangest and most portable design I've seen among their larger lights. I can just imagine some mad scientist in the NEEWER lab staring at a ring light and thinking, "Hmm... that looks a lot like a life preserver. What if we..." And here we are. It's an inflatable ring light.As goofy as the concept initially sounds, it makes a surprising amount of practical sense. The bulky part of a conventional ring light is mostly the large circular housing, and this essentially makes that housing collapsible. Inflate it when you need it, deflate it when you're finished, and suddenly a 14-inch light doesn't require 14 inches of rigid space in your equipment bag.More importantly, the actual light doesn't seem compromised by the unusual construction. The quality of the illumination looks just as good to me as the similarly sized hard-plastic NEEWER ring lights I've used. It's bright, nicely diffused, dimmable, and gives me a useful 2900K to 6500K color-temperature range. If I can get comparable light while taking up considerably less room during transport, I'm not going to complain that my professional lighting equipment has suddenly become inflatable.I could especially see this being useful for remote shoots where everything has to be carried into the location. Something like a hiking or foraging video would be a perfect example. Under a heavy tree canopy, available light can disappear surprisingly quickly, and sometimes a little on-camera light isn't enough. Being able to stuff a relatively large source into a backpack without dedicating a huge amount of space or weight to it could be genuinely useful.You do still need to power it. This is a 35W light, so USB-C power requires a source capable of supplying enough power rather than just any random USB charger. A moderately capable USB-C PD power bank can handle that, though, which keeps the entire setup portable. The controller also provides an NP-F battery option, which is particularly convenient for video work since I already have piles of those batteries.The included stand and centered phone holder make it usable as a conventional ring-light setup, while the magnets and handheld option give it some additional possibilities. But the inflatable construction is really the reason this one stands out among the frankly ridiculous number of lights I already own.It's weird, but it's the useful kind of weird. Somebody apparently looked at a life preserver and thought it should have 300 LEDs in it. Turns out they had a point.

The idea of this ring light just feels cheap. It's an inflatable ring light that doesn't directly plug into the wall. In theory, a lot about this sounds like it wouldn't work, but in reality it's actually a pretty good ring light. It's really strong. It was easy to put together and I actually think the remote that it comes with is pretty great. The ring light is actually also pretty portable and I can see myself traveling with it as well. The stand is also very stable. I was kind of surprised by this because usually most package stands are kind of bad. There were no issues with the stand at all. It was really stable and I also like how it fits at the bottom of the case. I would say this is a great value for the money.

Ring Light — 3/5I am not sure what else to say about a ring light other than it is, in fact, a well-made ring light. 😂 It feels sturdy and not like one of those things that is going to fall apart the second you move it around. The light itself works well and gives you that nice, even lighting that ring lights are supposed to give you. I think this would be great for pictures, videos, Zoom meetings, or honestly just when you need to stop looking like you are sitting in a dark cave. I don't have any major complaints about it, but I also wasn't blown away by anything that made me think this was the greatest ring light ever invented. It does what it is supposed to do, and it does it well, so I am giving it 3/5.

So I wasn't really sure how the lighting would be inside of a inflatable ring. But to my surprise the lighting is great it's easy to inflate it comes with a little rubber ball shaped inflator kind of like using a baster that has that little rubber ball at the end that you used to suck the juice in and push it out. It works like that you just keep squeezing the ball and then inflates the ring actually pretty quickly too.It has a nice tripod stand that's pretty solid easy to set up and different levels of height and once it's all tightened down it's pretty stable and sturdy it's not going to go anywhere.You can control the lighting settings you can make it brighter or dimmer you can make it flash and you could do it all in increments from a brightness and wider to a little yellow I guess I don't know what you would call that with lighting but yeah easy to adjust the brightness on it.It also comes with a little tiny remote that you would connect via Bluetooth to your smartphone it connected right away to my Android smartphone so you can control the camera on the phone or if your video recording control it with that as well.I'm actually surprised that the stability of it especially of the Ring that comes with a clamp to clamp it on the tripod stand I'll post a couple pictures so you can see I think it's a great value for what you're getting I was expecting it to be this good but it is in my opinion and I would definitely recommend it if you're a photographer or tattoo artist or even if you have a nail salon or it's got a nice long power cord to it and it's so easy to operate to get to the right lighting that you want. And it all fits perfectly in the carrying bag it comes with that has a shoulder strap.

Ok, so this 14” inflatable ring light from Neewer is awesome. It comes in its own carry case & has everything you need, except a battery backup. There is a slot on the back of the control box for it, but no battery is included.Now the carry bag makes this portable, but this is no selfie stick, friends. This is a full size professional ring light with a real “photography lighting” stand that slips into the bottom of the carry case… a nice touch.Overall it’s quite adjustable, especially with the little cell phone holder. Cute.A NOTE ON RELIABILITY: It comes with a little USB-C power supply and cable. You must use this one. I tried other power supplies and they did not power on the controller!! Don’t lose the plug!Overall the value is fair if a huge ring light is part of your schtick. I happily added this to my photography lighting to cover the base. I am not totally certain it’ll get a serious amount of use, but we’ll see!!

What a fascinating light. I have a few other inflatable light products so the concept wasn't new, but never tried a ring light before. It works really really well.Setting it up is literally a breeze. It comes with a little air bellows that does take like 60 pumps to fill it up, but it really isn't that bad. Releasing the air is just pressing the button on the air pathway in, super easy. The light has a breakout box that can be powered via USB-C or NP-F battery. Doesn't come with a NP-F battery, but a small one can run this for a decent amount of time.The light stand that comes with it is pretty decent quality, and works both as a floor style or table style. The rubber feet does help a little with grip. The other accessories are good quality also. Good adjustability on height and angle.The portability of the whole thing is incredible. Normally Ringlights just are bulky. This one really isn't.I did notice when running this off USB-C, it topped off at 11w/s despite saying it's a 35w light. It still gets plenty bright, but that was interesting.I think Neewer might be on to something here (or whoever came up with this idea). I know a BUNCH of makeup artist who will salivate over this thing. Because of that, I would say it's a pretty decent kit for the money. I can see a lot of value for many of my fellow industry collogues for this (I work the wedding industry)
