I did not the Amazon recommended at first, and it sucked bad. Had to pack it and return it for this.Love this fountain.

It's made of a composite or resin material almost plastic like. It's not concrete but very light. Some have said the finish flakes off but I have'nt seen any of that yet. Will it stand up to extreme temperatures, probably not but for winter I'll bring it in before the freezing weather. It's been in 100 degree weather and hasn't had any problems. I did not install the electric pump that came with it but instead installed a solar pump which works great. I've had several birds in it including hummingbirds. I fill and clean it every two days by just hosing it out and refilling. So far it's been great but I suppose you could knock it over if a kid hits it with a soccer ball or other object but hey the price was okay.

We own one of these and liked it a lot so bought one as a gift for a relative. A little pricey for resin, but itit doesn't leak and sounds nice.

We love it! We put stones in main basin that stick above water line to soften water sound. Check at least weekly to remove any debris or gunk from pump intake screen.

This is a FANTASTIC water fountain! All the little things that make them difficult to assemble and keep the pump in place is handled! Water flows beautifully, the sound is amazing and it’s a KILLER price for what it is! I have paid way more and gotten way worse products. Very happy with this purchase

I wanted some ambiance for the patio. This fountain was easy to assemble. Its made of a resin material so it is light weight and kind of cheesy. I was never able to get it to sit level. the top portion is askew and it looks kind of janky. I let it run over night and it ran out of water and the pump burned out. I had one before that had a safety shut off when it ran dry. Not this one. Next time, I would spend more to get a better quality.
